Our Mission Statement:

“To create a place where students become technically strong in the art of dance, while they learn and grow in life.”

Megan’s love of dance started early in her life. She began dancing at the age of five, was a part of a competition group in high school, started assisting dance classes at fifteen, and at eighteen began teaching her own classes. Megan has a bachelors degree in Accounting and Financial Management, as well as an Associates Degree in Art with emphasis in Dance. She has taken class from multiple instructors including Stacey Tookey, Allison Holker, and John Crutchman, as well as local classes from various teachers in the Denver Metro Area. She has attended the Boulder Dance Workshop for teachers and continues to take class and further her dance education. She knew from the first time she was an assistant in a dance class that she truly enjoyed teaching. There is no greater joy than seeing that you can affect a young person’s life. That is Megan’s mission, to not only have a technically solid dance studio but a place that kids feel comfortable and can learn and grow in life, not just in dance.

Megan is also a member of NDEO (National Dance Education Organization) an organization that’s mission is to advance dance education centered in the arts.

“Hi there! My name is Shannon Smaldone and I am thrilled to be a part of the amazing family at Dream Dance Studios. I began dancing at the age of six and have trained in various genres including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and modern. Through my love for dance I was also fortunate to discover my other passion: teaching. After assisting and teaching dance classes in high school, I pursued a degree in Education at the University of Colorado Boulder (Go Buffs!!) and will begin my student teaching experience at Columbine High School in August. I feel so blessed to be a part of the magic at Dream Dance and can’t wait to share my love of dance with you all!”

“My name is Lilly Wofsey and I’m a senior at Golden High School. I was born in New York City, moved to Alabama a few years later, and finally moved to Colorado a few years after that. I started dancing when I was 3 and have been in love with it ever since. I was a competitive studio dancer up until high school, which is when I joined the poms team at my school and won third at nationals. I also started my own dance club this past year. I have two younger siblings who are my favorite people; I love school and supporting my friends who play other sports. In my free time, I love exploring outside, gardening, babysitting, and having fun with my family and good friends. I’m so happy to be able to share my passion with kids who love to dance just like I do!”

“Hello! My name is Claire Founie and I am so excited to share my love of dance with all of you at Dream Dance Studios. I am a native to Colorado and love being outdoors and practice a lot of yoga. I began dancing at age 3 and have stuck with this passion ever since. I started out in ballet and combo classes at a studio here in Colorado and continued into other styles as well (tap, lyrical/contemporary, jazz, modern, pointe) and became a member of the performing and competing company there when I was 11. Since graduating high school in 2014, I have continued dancing and choreographing on my own and am currently pursuing a degree in Movement/Recreation Therapy at Metro State. I have known Megan for many years now and she has taught me a lot of technique and choreographed some of my favorite pieces. I am excited to teach for her and pass on the knowledge and beauty of dance to all of you as well! Come dance with me, I can’t wait to meet you!”
