Thirty years ago, Dennis Wied decided to hang up his suit, walk away from his Purdue Master’s Degree and engineering career, and do something he truly enjoyed. Raft Masters was started because of his passion for the outdoors and the things he loved. Initially one of Colorado’s smallest rafting companies it is now one of the largest, operating under the same ownership for its entire existence. Not many companies can claim that. Raft Masters’ success can be attributed to Dennis’s philosophy of treating guests as he would like to be treated. At Raft Masters you arrive as a stranger and leave as a friend.

To make sure you are in good hands be sure the outfitter you choose is a licensed Colorado outfitter. Inquire about how long they have been in business (with the current owners), the rivers and trips they run, and where they are located with respect to those rivers.
