The tour begins when you are greeted at your hotel by a friendly guide and begin the journey into the beautiful snowcapped peaks. You will take in epic views as you cruise along The Top of the Rockies Scenic Byway and over the continental divide. Along the way, your driver will point out interesting features and answer any questions you have.

Arriving at the kennel, you will feel the dogs’ excitement as they howl and sing in anticipation of the run. Your musher will get you settled into the sled with cozy wool blankets before releasing the anchor and zipping out of the kennel onto the tree-lined trail. There is no better way to experience this alpine wonderland than behind a team of gorgeous Alaskan Huskies and surrounded by picturesque vistas!

If you are up for the challenge and the conditions permit, your guide can teach you the basics of mushing and give you the chance to drive the sled through this majestic landscape.

After the mush, you can give the dogs on your team a tender pet and thank them for the ride. Then, your musher will introduce you to the other dogs in the kennel and show you what we do to care for the dogs. You can learn about feeding, watering, and harnessing to see if you have what it takes to be musher!

Next, it’s time to head into the warm, cozy, furnished office to relax and enjoy some complimentary snacks and a warm drink. Your photographer will show you all the amazing shots from the day and you can shop for souvenirs to remember the trip.

Returning to your hotel, you will have an understanding of the sport of dogsledding, amazing photos to share, exciting stories to tell, and of course a deep love for these beautiful and strong sled dogs!
